Fold Locks in Metal Clay - Fractal Folds

The Metal Leather and a series of Fold Lock techniques were developed by Kim Struve of Art Wabi Sabi Studios in San Antonio, Texas. She is joining us for several sessions to share these unique techniques and take you step by step through making your very own fine silver gum wrapper jewelry!

The Fold Lock: Fractal is an adaptation of the Fold Lock: Slide to create closed shapes. In this workshop you'll create two pairs of earrings- the open square and the arrow earrings. These are shapes that can be combined in infinite ways to build unique jewelry. All materials and findings are included in your class fee.

Pieces will be fired and time to finish/assemble your jewelry is included in the session. All findings are sterling silver and the finished metal leather pieces are .999 fine silver after firing.
