Fold Locks in Metal Clay - W Fold necklace & V Earrings

The Metal Leather and a series of Fold Lock techniques were developed by Kim Struve of Art Wabi Sabi Studios in San Antonio, Texas. She is joining us for several sessions to share these unique techniques and take you step by step through making your very own fine silver gum wrapper jewelry!

The Fold Lock: Slide (W link) is a fine silver adaptation of Gum Wrapper Chains! In this 4 hour session, you'll learn the foundations of the Fold Lock technique, make a W focal for a necklace, set a fire-in-place CZ in the focal, and construct a pair of V-fold earrings. All materials and findings are included in your class fee. 

Pieces will be fired and time to finish/assemble your jewelry is included in the session. All findings are sterling silver and the finished metal leather pieces are .999 fine silver after firing.
