About the Event

Learn the ancient mystery of bonding metal and glass into a harmonious, colorful work of art. During this workshop, we will create 2 fine silver pendants (or earrings), learn how to prep them after firing for the best enameling results, and then use cloisonne and champleve enameling techniques to add amazing depth and color.

Experience with metal clays and/or enameling is not required for this class. We'll cover all the basics and you'll leave class with lots of inspiration and information to keep the creativity going! This class is for anyone wanting to learn to create their own precious metal elements, add color to their work or explore enameling basics. You will leave class with finished pieces.

Day 1 will be creating the fine silver pieces and Day 2 will be enameling them. Kiln and torch firing enamels will be covered (the metal clay will be kiln fired for max sinter).
