Have you always wanted to learn how to make jewelry using metals like sterling silver and copper, but felt intimidated by the cost of getting started? Soldering real silver jewelry doesn’t require a setup that costs hundreds of dollars! All kinds of creative doors will be opened to you once you learn how to use a Butane Micro-Torch for silver soldering.
In this workshop, we will cover all the basics of how to start metalsmithing and soldering with a torch. You will create 3 styles of rings in sterling silver. We will cover how to size rings in different kinds of stock, how to make a freeform wire ring, and how to set small stones in snap-prong settings or small bezel settings
